Board Advisory Committees

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE (ARC)

The ARC reviews the Design Guidelines and proposals for amendments for clarification or modifications of the Design Guidelines to reflect the changing nature of the Community, and forward those addenda to the Board of Directors for consideration. The ARC Committee meets on the first Friday of each month; however, schedules are subject to change, so visit the calendar for dates.

CODE OF CONDUCT COMMITTEE

The Code of Conduct Committee Members serves on a Committee of peers to review all Code of Conduct Incident Reports to determine the validity of each report. We are in charge of processing complaints, discussing with the parties affected, agreeing on resolutions, and following up on their enforcement. A Code of Conduct Incident Report may be initiated by any resident, occupant, staff member, and/or vendor. In order to maintain privacy for all residents, the Code of Conduct Committee agendas and documentation is restricted to Committee members only.

COVENANTS COMMITTEE

The primary responsibility of the Covenants Committee is to assist the Board of Directors in monitoring and enforcing compliance by owners and residents with the provisions of the By-Laws, Section 3.25. The Committee meets on the third Monday of the month; however, schedules are subject to change so checking the calendar before attending is strongly recommended.

Finance Advisory Committee (FAC)

The Finance Advisory Committee advises and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding financial matters. We prepare the annual budget based on priorities established by the Board. We review and advise units requesting funds. We plan and budget, looking towards the future. The Finance Advisory Committee meets on the third Tuesday of the month; however, schedules are subject to change so please check the online calendar for the most up-to-date information.

Golf Advisory Committee (GAC)

The Golf Advisory Committee advises and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding golf-related matters. This includes the golf budgets, concession sales, management and lease contracts and proposals, marketing of the system, attracting more participants, and any other matter that furthers the public interest toward the development and operation of our four championship golf courses. The Golf Advisory Committee meets on the third Monday of the month; however, schedules are subject to change so please check the calendar for the most up-to-date information.

Long Range Planning Advisory Committee (LRP)

The Long Range Planning Advisory Committee advises and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding planning for the future of The Grand. The Long Range Advisory Committee focuses on the development of comprehensive, long term plans for community needs in the most effective and efficient way and in support of the Strategic Plan. Some of our responsibilities are listed below.
  • Develop and provide a report to the Board of Directors (BOD) prior to the annual budget process.
  • Ensure projects are within the scope of the strategic plan before recommending them in the annual report.
  • Facilitate ongoing research for future long range planning needs.
  • Develop a process and recommend to the BOD a plan to manage and update the Strategic Plan.
  • Perform other long range planning actions as requested by the BOD.
The Long Range Planning Advisory Committee meets monthly, so please check the calendar for dates.

Technology Advisory Committee (TAC)

Technology Advisory Committee advises and makes recommendations regarding technology matters. We assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities with respect to the overall role of technology in executing the business strategy of The Grand, including, but not limited to, major technology investment, technology strategy, operational performance and technology trends.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE AD HOC COMMITTEE (FBAC)

The Board Ad Hoc Committee on Food and Beverage (F&B) is an advisory committee that will assist the BOD in developing and implementing food and beverage strategies and objectives that seek to continuously improve the resident experience and livability at The Grand through food, beverage and dining experiences and contribute to the strategy: "The Grand as THE place to live".
The committee meets on the first Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in the Mediterranean Room and via Zoom.
